Safe Runet Week (Nedelya Bezopasnogo Runeta) – a group of public events which are dealing with the issues of promoting safer use of the Internet among children and parents. Safe Runet Week – 2010 lasted from February 2, 2010 till February 9, 2010 and included events in Moscow and in other regions of Russia.
Safe Runet Week is devoted to Safer Internet Day and is the Russian contribution in Safer Internet Day activities. This year Safe Runet Week was held for the third time. Besides Moscow, 35 regions of Russian Federation (37 cities) took part in Safe Runet Week - 2010 (in 2009 – four regions).

Also, on February 9, 2009, the awarding ceremony for winners of 2nd Family Online Safety Contest “Moya Bezopasnaya Set” (My Safe Web”) was held as part of Safe Runet Week events.
The Contest was organized by Safer Internet Centre – Russia and Russian State Children’s Library, supported by Public Chamber of Russia, High Representative for the Children’s Rights in Russia (Child Ombudsman), Russian Association for Electronic Communications and its members, Kaspersky Lab, RU-CENTER, child educating resource Zhuzha.Ru, Foundation for Child Support in Complex Situations.
The aim of the contest – to raise interest and awareness to child online safety matters in families and among children.
The nominations are:
Best amateur video clip about child protection from the Internet-threats;
Best family poster about family/child safety online;
Family Online Safety Contract;
Story on Child Safety Matters (story, fantastics, detective, fantasy)

Works were accepted since 1 December, 2009 till 1 February 2010 inclusively, Expert Commission evaluation lasted till 4 February inclusively. Awarding and final ceremony took place on Safer Internet Day – 2010, February 9.
